1st Music roundabout

On 18 September 2016 in the premises of Social Club KOMBINATI was held the discussion on “The role of the music in multi-ethnic societies” on the following points: - the idea of forming the group, - how does the band functions (rehearsals, agenda for concerts, producing songs, recording, etc.), - challenges and difficulties faced by the group, - what is the role of music in multi-ethnic communities in the region. At the very beginning of this event, both representatives of the organisations partners in implementation of the project gave an overview of the project objectives, target groups, activities and expected results.

The discussion was among the representatives of the music band “Gipsy Groove” and the present students from Music high school in Struga “Todor Skalovski-Tetoec”, participants from the two high schools in Struga, NGO representatives/activists, music performers from Struga and Ohrid, etc. with more than 50 participants in the event. After the discussion, the band had performance.

The band itself was ethnically with mixed composition (2 Macedonian, 3 Kosovar, 1 Roma) who shared their experience and work with other present participants. The band had performance in front of more than 50 participants in the event.
