What is Camp GLOW?
Camp GLOW, or Girls Leading Our World, is a multi-ethnic leadership camp designed to promote self-confidence, friendship, and community participation through educational activities in women’s health, nutrition, the environment, goal setting, career planning, volunteerism, the arts, discrimination, peace education, and much more. The camp is run entirely in English.
When & Where is the camp?
Camp GLOW 2013 will be held June 22nd- 29th at The Wilson School in Tetovo.
Who participates in the camp?
Camp participants come from all over Macedonia and represent the ethnic diversity of the country. Eighty campers will be grouped in diverse communities with whom they will attend classes, eat meals and share rooms. The camp is sponsored by The Local Development Agency in Struga as well as The Wilson School in Tetovo. The camp is facilitated by Peace Corps Volunteers and Camp GLOW alumnae from Macedonia.
How can I apply?
Camp GLOW seeks outstanding students with great leadership potential so the selection process is competitive. You are encouraged to apply if you meet the following criteria: you are female, live in Macedonia, will be in secondary school next school year, have not attended camp before, and speak English.
