About the project:

In Struga there was no institution to care on daily basis for people with severe intelectual disabilities. Therefore we established Center for support of persons with intellectual disabilities in 2005. In the first two years it was funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, and in 2007 it also got funds from the Municipality budget. In december 2007 it has been transferred to other premises that offer more space and can accept more people. The main goal of the project is to help social inclusion of people with intelectual disabilities, to offer a space where they can interact, learn to become independent and gain basic life skills.

• Opened Center for support of persons with Intellectual disabilities with capacity for 20 people
• Employed full time experts
