Inclusive ecology
About the project:
Our country is a signatory to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and is one of the few countries that has ratified this convention. The project will be implemented in Ohrid and its surroundings, especially in the settlement of Daljan at the Koselska River basin. This area is a beautiful nature that is constantly being destroyed by waste and illegal landfills. In this area, the awareness of the population is at a very low level, which results in environmental degradation.
ZD Hotel Daljan is located in this area, here we work and face the problems of scattered waste, broken street lights, beaches with plastic bottles, illegal dumps. Hotel Daljan is the only resort that operates under the activity code 5.2 resort for people with disabilities. For each disability, let's choose the way, let's bring ecology closer to understanding it in the right way. Let's show that we are equal in rights, but also in responsibilities. Let's change the approach, let's make cooperation on the principle of "Nothing for us" into "Nothing without us" which is respected by all people and organizations for people with disabilities. The trainings will be prepared according to a special methodology and practical experience in working with people with disabilities. People with disabilities themselves in certain activities will be leaders, change agents, activists.
