Our Beginnings

The Local Development Agency-Struga (LDA) was established in January 2004 as part of the project “Local Governance for Sustainable Economic and Human Development” (UNDP’s Cluster for Decentralization and Good Governance). During this project the main mandate of LDA was to support the long-term development of the Municipality of Struga by identifying a number of priority areas and mobilizing participation and partnership among private sector, civil society and local government.
Today, LDA is a self-sustained entity with the knowledge and capacity to serve the municipality, the region and the citizens.
LDA Struga is known as an independent, non-government and professional actor in the local community.
From the very beginning, LDA implement proactive approach involves the cooperation and participation with representatives from public, private and civil society in implementing the project activities.
