About the project:

Municipalities of Struga, Vevcani, Debarca and Resen have huge potential for developing sustainable forms of tourism (such as eco, cultural, rural, religious, archeological) with their great geographical position, rich cultural heritage, natural resources and pleasant climate. But at present, majority of tourists visiting these municipalities, are not aware about all the other places that are worth visiting in the broader region, as there are no public maps to facilitate it. To make these hidden places available to every tourist it is of urgent importance to place maps on all the entrances and exits of these municipalities.

Results:

• Designed, printed and placed total 22 maps in the selected municipalities (10 in Struga, 6 in Resen, 3 in Debarca and 3 in Vevcani)
• Detailed description of all tourist points of interest in the selected municipalities
• Improved the average tourist’s stay by advertising local attractions that are not visited as frequently as other sites
• Increased number of visitors in rural parts of the region
• Make it easier for tourists to find their way in this region
• Promote the region as a great place for a vacation
• Increased regional income (comprehending hotels, restaurants and museums, firms that supply food, transport, souvenirs, and so on)
• Increased the satisfaction of tourists (because they will be more informed about the regions’ offerings, allowing them to remember their stay and to recommend the region to others) through informational maps
