Highlights of 1st Work Package “Get Ready” - Desk research –benchmarking analyses within project Beyond Borders-Introducing Smart Tourism and Sharing Economy IPA CBC MK-AL 2014-2020

As part of the Activity Desk research-benchmarking analyses, which started on 15.08.2018 until 15.02.2019, three studies have been created.

Here is short description of the first one.

Study “Stakeholder collaboration and benchmarking analyses” focus on the status quo on the current stakeholders’ collaboration and opportunities to increase tourism offer through collaboration in CBC region. Several activities are conducted in the study: identification of stakeholders, type and position of each stakeholder, current activities and responsibilities. Additionally, relevant document (such as strategies and development programs) are analysed regarding the stakeholder collaboration during the phase of development and implementation of these documents. In addition, benchmark of good practices of stakeholders’ collaboration in rural and sustainable tourism is presented. This study proposes several measures and methods to enhance stakeholder collaboration, which will influence in joint tourism activities in CBC region.
