"Democracy Laboratory" for high-school students from Struga and Pogradec
Group of 30 high-school students from Pogradec (Albanija) and Struga (Macedonia) have participated on the 7th joint workshop for strengthening of their capacities. The training was held on 21-22 of February 2013 in Struga, where young people from both countries have met and discussed about democratic values: freedom, common good, truth, justice, equality, diversity and others. It was extraordinary experience to hear the opinions of the youth on these topics. The next training will be held in Pogradec where young people will need to develop concrete ideas that they will implement in their communities, and which will contribute towards development of the democracy and promotion of democratic values. This training is part of the project "Democratic Laboratory" which is supported by Friedrich Ebert Foundation. The implementation started in march 2012, with selection of 15 high-school students in each city ( Pogradec and Struga) and the workshops have started. In this first phase we held 6 workshops on topics: leadership, communication skills, conflict resolution, youth activism and volunteerism.
