OPEN CALL FOR ART WORKS

The Coalition of youth organizations SEGA within its annual programme for 2012 implements the project “Promoting intercultural dialogue among youth in Macedonia”. The project aims to promote the intercultural dialogue among youth in the municipalities where young people with different ethnic background live.

Within this project SEGA announces open call for selection of best art works (paintings) on the topic “Intercultural Dialogue”. Students of all high schools from Prilep, Ohrid, Struga, Tetovo and Tearce are eligible to participate in this call.

SPECIFIC CRITERIA

The paintings can be performed in technique by chose of the author (pencil, pastel, aquarelle, oil, distemper, ink…). The topic of the competition is “Intercultural dialogue”, and it might include paintings that reflect on intercultural dialogue among youth, life of the young people in intercultural community and paintings that bring forward messages for friendship, coexistence, mutual understanding, tradition etc. (games, experiences, tradition, folklore, customs etc.) Each student may submit maximum of 3 paintings on this call. The art works submitted on this call have to be original and should not to be submitted on any other competition before.

APPLICATION STEPS AND DEAD LINE

You should submit your art works to the pedagogical service in the school no later than 15 November 2012. On the back of the painting please stick a paper which will contain the following information:

SELECTION CRITERIA

For the selection of the best art works, the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA will constitute independent evaluation commission consisted by three members. SEGAs evaluation commission will select per three best art works from each above mentioned city, which will be published in a e-catalogue “Me and my friend”. All students, authors of the published e-catalogue, will be awarded with certificates.

PROMOTION OF THE E-CATALOGUE “ME AND MY FRIEND”

The e-catalogue “Me and my friend” will be published on the website of the Coalition of youth organizations SEGA – www.sega.org.mk, on the websites of our partner organizations and as well it will be promoted through the social media. Also, the catalogue will be sent to all high schools, youth organizations, supporters, donors and youth aiming to deliver clear message of young people for the importance of fostering intercultural dialogue in Macedonia. Local promotions of the e-catalogue “Me and my friend” will be organized in Prilep, Ohrid, Struga, Tetovo and Tearce during December 2012.
