Comic about preventing domestic violence
The following comic is part of the project “Strengthening the capacity of local institutions in preventing domestic violence”, implemented by the Local Development Agency Struga. The strip contains information about recognition of violence and provides specific guidance to respond to it in an appropriate way. Through our many years of work on this topic, we came to the conclusion that the preventive action is necessary from their early age. It is especially important to young people to talk openly and without prejudice to their families. The strip is adapted to the age of readers and a pictorial manner clearly conveys the message of nonviolent communication.
Local Development Agency - Struga is a civil organization that aims to improve the quality of life for residents of the municipality of Struga region. LDA Struga is working towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals and represents universal principals of sustainable socio-economic development, social inclusion of vulnerable groups, gender equality, interethnic dialogue and cooperation. LDA team would like to give special thanks to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) who, through a joint program of United Nations agencies “Strengthening national capacities for the prevention of domestic violence", has supported the publication of the strip.
